Im currently trying to sort out some of the fuel system. Is there any efi fuel hose that is ADR apporved and compatible with speedflow/earls style AN hose ends?

Nigel,I dont think fuel hoses are subject to ADR's.The hose is either rated as fuel hose to a given pressure or it isnt

Thanks Phil i guess should check that with the engineer aswell. Im running an 044 pump, im thinking about running a -6 from pump to the rail and the same for a return? Does this sound right or would the return be sifficient as a -4?

Not sure about -6 I am going to run -8 from pump to fuel rail(s) and then -8 return as well.

Definately suspicious on the -4.

Thanks Lincoln, i purchased some fittings/lines the other day... going to be running -6 for supply (and probably same for return). I think the standard cossie rail only has a 3/8 inlet barb on it anyway.

I have a feeling your 500 setup will require a bit more fuel than mine especially as the revs climb.[88] Are you using extruded aluminium rails or the rs500 items?

I am using -6(3/8")for supply and return,no signs of problems with 260rwkw The std cossie fuel rail is 5/16" inlet if my memory serves me correctly[:p]

Hey Nigel hows it all going draining the wallet i imagine, just a quick question i've noticed your intercooler and idea of not going through the guards with your piping. do you have enough room to have bends to fit around your raditor..? do you have a radiator yet? If so what size etc are you using...? any pics

Cheers mate, Luke.

Building a lightweight escort definitely equates to an equally lightweight wallet!

I have some 90deg bends, some have a tighter radius than others but all end up rubbing on the inner wings. To make it work the outlet's had to be removed and replaced with fabricated bends:

and radiator will be mounted off the cooler at the top and located on 2 lugs at the bottom from the rad xmember

Luke did you manage to find a shifter for that w57? Your cossied mk1 is coming along nicely, your way ahead of me! goodluck

Thanks mate, i figured something like that would be needed to be done that seems to be the problem with this kind of the conversion everything has to be fabricated nothing off the shelf like for jap cars, half the fun i guess.

Yeah got a shifter just need to find a short shift for it feels a little long. Good luck with the rest of your build.

Cheers Luke

Depending on how much you want to spend, you can buy a PWR core and get the tanks fabricated either by pwr to your dimensions, or by someone else. That way you can have the outlet's pointing straight into the engine bay rs500 style.
