Brand new Stainless steel quarter bumpers are now being reproduced. I cant see many negatives to using these, no need for chrome plating, if you have a ding you simply knock it straight and re polish. Best of all you buy them new, they are straight, and they cost less than repairing and re-plating a set of panelvan bumpers...

Yeah i just painted them Shea. Im not sure if die cast aluminium can be annodised (dont see why not) but if it can it would look great in front of a polished/powder coated manifold.

Round headlight grilles have been nothing but trouble for me. I had one effectively stolen from me by a well known workshop in Seaford, Victoria[}:)]. Long, unpleasant story. Thankfully, there are people on this forum who are not out solely to rip people off from their own community.

This grille is courtesy of Phil and was offered for a very reasonable price (and i thank him for that).

This grille is the one that caused me way too many headaches and trips to Seaford. Im sad to say is not even mine anymore (as good as it looks). It was sold to Simo and will look great on his car when done.

you wont find one much straighter than this...

Nice one mate.

If you need anything done engineering wise - give us a call.

What do you want me to do with the pulley? I could courier it to you - work will pay.

First of all keep the pics coming, looks like it will turn out to be a gem, can't wait to see the final product. Always telling myself i'd love to arch mine in the end but its already painted..doh![:(!]. So yours should look insane when its finished.

Good luck with the rest of the build good to see another escort recieving a cossie!

i remember reading somewhere in the forum, someone had said and for the life of me i can't find it again searching the forum. Someone or some company was going to start fabricating those griilles from new.... anyone remember this may have dreamt it...[x2x]

Hey, looks like its coming along very nice.

You said about the quarter bumpers can be bought new in stainless steel. Where abouts from if you know, or where did you get your one's from.

Cheers,
Aaron

Lincoln i have to get that t5 shifter off you too. No hurry, i might just get you to Aus post it to my home address, happy to pay. Check your email[;^)]

Luke, Yesterford in vic used to sell new reproduction square headlight grilles. I purchased 2 of them and they were only $50 each!! Possibly the same manufacturer is making round light grilles, we can only hope.

Stainless quarter bumpers were found on eBay. I know i got the last pair at the time (they make them in batches) but i think they said they make about 10 pairs a year/batch. Will try and get a business name, they are made in Malaysia.
