Started stripping the paint off the rear quarters as i think it will make fitting the guards a bit easier. Also made up a panel to tidy up the parcel shelf, not sure why it was cut up the way it was?

Fitted up the diff as i needed a wheel on to line up and centre the arch on the body. Fairly happy to have it at this stage at the moment.

That looks excellent with the wheel there. Is that how its going to sit when done? Super fabrication skills there too. And I'm diggin your 323i even more now, those wider wheels are fantastic!

Nice metal working skills, wish I could do that.

Seriously, I think you need bigger wheels though.

Thanks for the comments guys. I bought the Simmons with the intention of using them 8" front 9" rear but i think the car will sit up fairly high, even with the wheels tucked up under the archs. I am thinking along the lines of BBS RS's see pic. in 15x9 or 15x10. This is a long way away though and i will build the car to accomodate 17's.

Santa not too sure yet, but it will be delicate so as not to distort the quarter, no long seams etc. HYPO4D, i think it will stay an off-white colour.

Something along these lines

Nigel.

Top work. Things are looking good. Amazing how sticking a det or wheels under makes such a difference.

Keep it up...
