My Capri only has one 3000v6 badge and its completely bare metal, apparently these were coloured when they came from the factory, just wonder what they looked like originally?

Hi Matt

are these the badges you mean ?  (see attachment)

If impossible to find, or too expensive, maybe you or an artistic friend could re-paint them ?

Both mine need doing too, as they're both also one silver/chrome colour

A pic of one I have in the car
Not a good representation - just different shades of grey/silver - as is original
I have quite a few at home - will pick out the most unmolested and post a pic

This thread seems to suggest that orange is correct. ford.org/cfp/m/tm.aspx?m=68890&p=

Interesting, seems the '3000GT' badges were red, and the '3000V6' orange,
However this says orange around the 'V6', the repro badge has orange around the '3000'

Just had another look at the badge on my Capri (October 1970)
Doesn't seem to have the seperator bit between the 3000 and the V6, I wonder why.
