nigel.

I use SolidWorks; and thanks to spending a cool half mil with one machinist last year; things cost at most a case of beer for the workshop.

Well heading in the right direction anyway. I have got my GT2840 for you to borrow so that you can make your manifold and you can have your plastic bucket back.
My head and inlet manifold for the zetec was being mahined today, the are looking real good. They were match porting the inlet to the head and maching the gasket face flat only removed 42 thou!![:0]

.....hmmmmGT2840; I may be tempted to keep it[}:)]

Clutch is 1230kg clamping; coefficient of friction is 0.32-0.44. Min torque capacity for slippage is 772Nm. Pick it up tomorrow.
Looks like things are coming together.

The 42 thou came of the inlet port face to make it flat. They didn't take 42 thou of the combustion chamber face. 42 thou is alot though, but that is how much it took to get it all flat.It is finally coming together though.
Glad to hear that you are picking up your clutch tomorrow Mark, thats great.
And I am sorry to dissapoint but I will be expecting my Gt2840 back when you are done.[:u]

Its going to be hard to choose which toy to take out. Looking forward to the day that car runs now too.
Then with all of us combined we will have a lot of very powerful small fords to go out cruising in. Should be good[:p][:p]

I have the Gt2840 at home. Just let me know whether you want to pick it up or what we should do to get it to Phil.

We might use my engine to jig it up; so hang on to it for now...I think we need one day with the RS to sort and swap items.
