Like a [%]Supercharged Cossie[%]
I can ask around for a world cup x member if you can't find 1.

Well done Mark, hope you get it going soon. I've seen that motor somewhere [x2x] can't remember where from.

If i missed it anywhere what gearbox are you running? i read toyota somewhere supra? you don't want to chop that nice looking tunnel out to fit the t5 do you? [V]

good luck [:o)]

Thanks to some good mates and machinists[;^)] for helping with necessary modifications; I/we will be dropping the motor in the engine bay well before months end. Progress should be expedited from there on.[:u]
Some mods include; fit extra plugs to the big wing sump
modify spraybar and pick up to suit
change to 4WD manifold
plenum spacer
thermal inlet/exhaust gaskets
uprate clutch (now min 784Nm torque capacity)
modify bellhousing to suit cossie flywheel
rebuild gearbox
Escort cosworth starter (tiny compared to Mk2esky)
motor gets thrown in......and piped, ecu, cooler etc (all the costly parts)

I should have the spray bar transplant complete by the end of the weekend

Mark, are you using a 4wd manifold for space reasons? I was hoping to retain my 2wd manifold (which flows better) and from the rough measurments ive done i think i will have about 15mm clearance to the suspension tower.[:u] Do you think its gona happen or should i just buy a 4wd manifold?
Also where did you source your plenum spacer? Purchased from uk, or did you just get it laser cut?

cheers,
nigel

Yes..but we are making a custom exhaust for bigger turbo right now too; so I will not be running 4x4 manifold forever.
Plenum spacer from UK, but could easily get one made here;actually I can model that and get them done here...easy.

Yeah i was considering drawing them up in CAD also. I think most machine shop require them in .swf format. The 16mm block of alloy is going to be the costly bit though. Why can't alloy be as cheap at mild steel!

nigel.

Getting closer to finished.
Well heading in the right direction anyway. I have got my GT2840 for you to borrow so that you can make your manifold and you can have your plastic bucket back.
My head and inlet manifold for the zetec was being mahined today, the are looking real good. They were match porting the inlet to the head and maching the gasket face flat only removed 42 thou!![:0]

42thou is just over 1 mm[:0]is that what they took off the head face[?]
