Hi all,
    just hoping someone knows of a Mks 2 being wrecked anywhere in NSW.Im checking on one in campbelltown tomorrow at a wreckers yard .   I need to get the usual rusted out places for weld in repairs organised before I drop the car off at the body shop. I might even buy a whole donor car for the right price. Im looking at a slam panel, boot floors, corners at the bottom of the rear windscreen, drivers side floor, sills, and probably the whole firewall , plus A and C pillars.   I know some of these are available as brand new replacements. really the firewall and rear window corners and pillars are my main concern.

you are better off to get the panel shop to make these corners up from new metal than to by 30 yr old metal and weld that in, anyway panel shop has a beater to beat it up for you

yeah, Ive already checked them both out. Theyre pretty rusted out and not much left on them

I think road tested spare on blaksland rd have a mark 2 not sure if its a coupe though

haha, no worries Jim, Im still bringing it up to you, just taking a bit longer than hoped. Engine should be out next weekend and then Im cooking. I thought if I got as much replacement parts before I bring it up it will be less delay time . I got a better bootlid from QLD this week but the firewall/plenum/under dash area is making me wince everytime I look at it.......so is the pillars,boot, floors!!! Anyway, hopefully not long to go and Ill be dropping it off at your shop
