What mounts are you using, standard or chasis?

From what I've read, you can trim the lip from the crossmember, wels it up and the cossie sump will fit?

Have a search on Turbosport.

I read the same on turbosport, also moving your engine as far back as possible will help.

I moved the engine back and modded the crossmember to retain the original sump as is

My cossie sump fits with the wcxm... just depends on how much youre willing to trim from the crossmember flange. My xmember and mounts just happen to sit the motor a bit further back.

This of course depends on which brand wcxm you use and the mounts vary as well. If you search on turbosport you will see which brand xmembers work with the stock sump, and you will also see some pics of which part of the sump need modding to retain the original xmember. I dont have any pics on this computer unfortunately.

I chopped mine to suit the original crossmember and added big wings for a bit of capacity/saftey

hmmm
its abit of a toss up...
they say cut the x member and some say cut the sump
not sure hey
what would be the best way....
welding on bigger wings would be good for me yes.. more oil the better
not sure
will cutting the x member weaken it???

Although I have not done this yet, when I was researching it for the cossie sump, I decided trimming the crossmember was easier/simplest option. It wont leak if you get it wrong either!!! If you're worried about strength, just plate it along the bottom. Will be plenty strong enough then. I would only consider cutting the sump if you're going to mod it further, ie adding wings etc, otherwise you are creating more work for yourself and possibly creating another potential 'leaky' bit in the form of an ill fitting/leaky/deformed sump.

Just my thoughts, Shaun.
