hey guy ive decovered the escort is understeering i learen't this at the track day we just had so it was ticked me off i couldnt go as hard
im about to purchace adjustable lowe control arms off smcka and strut brace im running coil overs with 220lb springs and koni adjustable shocks and adjustable strut tops
how much degrees camber and caster do i really want???
i think im in need of some decent semi slicks but it was just crazy the understeer
also considering a quick rack?? they good??

What size sway bar have you got? Hope you haven't got a locked diff...??
What motor are you running?

I just put a strut brace and a quickrack on and it's made a huge difference. i recommend them both [:x)]

Get yourself some decent rubber before you spend a cent on anything else. If your tyres are crap it will still understeer even with all that fancy pants stuff under it!

i wish i had a locked diff lol..

umm its an adjustable sway bar thicker than standard not sure on the rating. but yeh need some decent tyres

I agree with GDub, upgrade your tyres before spending money on other bits.

Wouldn't you want a quick rack if it's over steering, not under steering?
Apart from new tyres, go for a standard width sway bar and double the spring rating on the front.

Lockers are good when you want some rear wheel steering.
You just need to have some control with the loud pedal when you wish to stop turning.[88]

yeh well i dont mind doing a lill bit of rear wheel steering haha
when i can get it... poo single spinner lol..
i want a quick rack cuz i find im turning the wheel to much into a corner having to do to much hand work....
i think tyres r in need...

.. Also, a locker will only make your understeer worse until you can get it to over steer, neither of which will give you quick circuit times

but fun circuit times haha
