driving a canaried car, with a permit, which is illegal, just 15 mins to this place, almost an hour to cam automotive..

im still debating whether to buy a second car, or just do the long yards with this one...

i also checked both rear wheel cylinders. and thats a confirmed bullsh!t case

perfectly good, may have been replaced not long ago, there not dirty. and no sign of ANY leakage.

Mate Just read the whole lot and you have a history with this car now keep it up and see it thru the reward is hugely awesome ask anyone else who has done a resto or mods. to look at a finished product makes you feel all mushy inside lol. enjoy it. it will be your drug :) lol

Sterling,

Spend the weekend on it and knock of that list.

Looking at it it's nothing that is terribly hard nor costly.

Clean everything, and I mean everything. Go over it with the pressure washer and degreaser top to bottom. Black the wheels, vacuum windows etc and make it all nice and shiny. Go over all the electrics, lights wipers washers etc.. A car that looks like it should fail, usually will, and vice versa....

Just a tip, it's amazing when you're on a budget how some thinners etc and a stiff brush are able to make parts look like they have been replaced....[:I] Non critical components obviously...

Good luck with it, you're almost there.

thanks guys, ive climbed back onto the horse, so to speak,

starting knocking down the list again.

and yeah my bad for not prepping the car enough, my dirt road got the car covered in dirt, no idea why the brake lights stopped working, haven't looked into that yet. and didn't fill up the washer bottle.

ignition switch fault - Fake

holes in firewall (actually holes in heater bubble from when i did reverse bonnet) - filled, painted over.

timing belt cover missing - installed

no washers - Fake ( IT WAS OUT OF WATER?! HOW COULD THEY NOT HAVE CHECKED THIS? )

LH front rubber hose split - Fake, A1 condition.

Rear Center hose split - again, perfectly fine.

rear brake hose perished - dont know why this went up twice.

Rear Cylinders Leaking - yet again, not leaking at all. both sides.

I agree dude, just stick with it.

when i went to comply my mustang they gave me a list that was a page and a half long.

took me almost a year to get it sorted, but it needed chassis work and i spent alot of time waiting for parts to come from the states.

most of the stuff on my list was like yours, mostly small jobs.

when you get stuck in for a few hours in a weekend its amazing how much of that stuff you can tick off.

Good work for keeping at it dude. With ya brake lights, clean the fuse contacts as they are absolute jerks when dirty. I had the exactvsame thing happen to me with my Parkers. Worked, awesome! Went for rego... No lights!?! Got home, ripped everything apart and found nothing. Bumped a fuse after I dropped a spanner on the fuse box....BINGO!!

Just a thought, good luck mate.

finally im able to get the small garage to myself tonight, so im going to see if i can get the rear lights working tonight..ill check the earths, which is just as likely because i painted inside the boot, so the earths probably arent contacting.

anywho, heres what 2 more layers of clear can do, and believe me, a SH!TLOAD of patience.

had a little stuff up on the bonnet, long story, but requires alot of effort to repair so cbf the rest im happy with.

bonnet stuffup you can sorta see next to where the light is hitting.

but heres the car!

and heres the origonal recipe outcome: --------------------------
