should i try loctite or something?

Yes, loctite the suckers in.
The top bolt will stop the starter matching up with the ring gear properly.

as for the fuel filter, i dont know why but the mechanic said it should be there, yes personally i thought it would make more sense to go before the pump..

the fuel pump might not have the vacumn to suck thru the filter?

well hole under battery tray repaired.

replaced the alternator with one off old mazda, had to modify escort bracket (chop, grind, weld) and replaced alternator pulley with Escorts V pulley.

light doesnt stay on anymore, only comes on when ignition is on, goes out when the engine revs the first time, then stays off [:x)]

so i can leave my battery connected overnight now! hehe

only 6 things left for roady now! 6! bloody close.

i hope the local fuzz see this so they see how much work this all is and wont hassle me about it. THIS IS A LEGIT ROAD WORTHY.

Windscreen

Front Brake Rotors

Front Bumper

Hole in P/S Floor

Spring Shackle Bushes

Front Springs...

then it will officially be another "saved" escort.

well heres a pic after the first coat of matt black.. im getting some random hot days so im taking advantage of them [:x)]

next is 4 coats or so, then the clear with blue flake, then clear to top it all off.

in the pic you can see the paints different in the front quarter, i was wet sanding it smoother cuz i didn't prep that panel very well. (ie you could still see sandpaper marks etc)

-1 coat of clear w/ black flakes, blue flakes, and a small amount of black.

Looking better Sterling...

Better than the 'Australian Racing Grey' you were sporting previously.

Good luck with the roady list, you will have it on the road in no time.
