CAPRICIATION ’24 MEETING AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

To ALL Club members planning on joining the run to Albury on Friday, 4th October.

There will be two (2) separate departure points for the run to Albury from Melbourne.

1. Ford HQ, 1735 Sydney Rd, Campbellfield, meet 8:30/8:45 for 09:00 departure – Mark Dainty, Co-ordinator (0418 570 009)

2. Coldstream Cafe Roadhouse Car Park, 629 Maroondah Hwy, (opposite the Brewery) meet 8:00/8:15 for 08:30 departure – John Roberts, Co-ordinator (0409 091 252)

Both groups will then travel north and meet at approx. 10:00 at the Grasstree Car Park/Rest Area (Northbound), on the Hume Fwy, Mangalore. Grasstree is located north of Seymour and approx. 3 k’s north east of M39 (Goulburn Valley Fwy) / M31 (Hume Fwy) junction/overpass along the Hume Fwy. We'll be departing Grasstree for the run to Albury at approx. 10:30. Grasstree Rest Area is also a meeting point for those not meeting at the Ford Factory or Coldstream, i.e. those from the west of Melbourne and beyond.

It is planned to stop at the Glenrowan BP Service Centre, located on the Hume Fwy, past the Glenrowan turn-off, up and over the hill, for fuel for the cars or yourself, or both!

If you plan to or have to travel to Albury at a later time or perhaps even on Saturday 5th October, please advise as we will try to ensure that members travel together where possible to allow for any unforeseen circumstances.

There's another all ford day next weekend,
I'm hoping Laura and Justin is able to take the car out for me, as dad's busy,
Next year if you have a car show in Victoria Melbourne I will come up with dad,

Not interstate Bernie, so no excuses really.
Certainly not as far as the Netherlands, it looked liked it was well run and a great turnout.
If I knew the Capri would make it that far and back, maybe next time.
