I’ve had theses new parts for some time wasn’t sure if I wanted to use them..
Not to far from deciding if so or not.
Wondering if anyone has tried applying some clear coat with tint to bring them closer and darker to the original colour ?
This end which is really good condition was covered with a cover plate due to no stereo/radio fitted

when I was younger I tried cleaning these trims with a solvent, as they were secondhand and grubby.

Of course the textured finish came off as well, and I ended up having to cover them with Contact as they looked that bad.
Now the car has a set of reproduction ones, and the dash matches ok.
Reeni I dont think you would have much luck changing the colour, or their type of textured  finish.
Unfortunately they are as they are, and you run the risk of wrecking them as I did, depending on what sort of product you use. If you really want to try, or have nothing to use, perhaps try with a water based product first as it mightn't be as aggressive. Good luck.

Took your advice
The heater control between the two breaks it up and looks ok.
I may have damaged by removing two layer of vinyl off the dash pad. As dad said repairs and re vinyling is always done over an existing vinyl.
It’s a good thing I found it hard even trying two remove the bottom layer off the smaller part.
I’m thinking it means more labour and cost.
won’t get done any time soon I’m guessing
