Well what a pearler of a topic!
Yep, did the Nullarbor in 92 on my way around. People all said 'oh, that would be boring' but I reckon anything but. Good on you Robbie, looks like the family bonding sort of thing.
I have a mate who did do it in a Combi in the 70's when it was a goat track.
Worries me they are still talking of sealing the telegraph track up to Bamaga? Mind you, not being allowed to cross the Jardine kind of kills the experience anyway.
Marty a few of the Cossie guys from Newcastle (NSW) way go over to the UK for a few events and would definitely be a bucket list. I reckon that would be a grand trip to line up for a dedicated group of motorheads. Pikes Peak would be pretty much top of the list though, especially if the RS200 is still going strong. Then there's the Leadfoot in NZ. Oh, where do I stop?
My two current projects being the Escort tarmac build and Harada, the Flightcraft Concorde SS.
The boat would be the one though as myself and the others restoring the few surviving Concorde's are planning a get together on an inland waterway in the next year or two.
On another note, I am procrastinating (not a common thing for me) on starting a thread on my Escort build as it has all been done to death on this forum and others. So let me know if you want any pics as I tend to keep a low profile. Oh and also stick it on a new post. Sorry Robbie.
What do you reckon the cops doing? Giving the guys the name of his panel beater
