I have a dellow conversion with a supra box the clutch has been loosing freeplay and now is non existent the fork appears to be bending .The fork is modified as it was bought as motor gearbox combo and installed years ago without separating them. Is this the way they need to be or will a standard one do?

Hi, the dellow one looks longer at the cable end, this allows for easier release.. I'm a bit skeptical about dellow products personally.. You might need to do a cut n shut but stronger.
With any car I modify with the clutch system I always weld bracing on the fork. Usually to box section the area between the cable and the throw out bearing and run inch strap asking the sides around the centre which are the week points.
Doing this removes the weak points of the fork . I'll get pics up once found so you can copy

Probably a bad photo both the same length was a ford item it seems the cutouts allow it to sit closer to the gearbox can you think of any reason for it the . The throwout bearing holder appears thicker from the fork slots to the bearing face but don't a standard one to compare to and spacer used under fork and pressure plate is normal straight finger one with centre to suit supra

The cutouts might be for some relief reason on their other conversions or there was something the fork was binding against the back of the housing

Could someone measure the distance from the throwout bearing face where it contacts the pressure plate to where the fork sits in the carrier as It seems very thick on mine and may be why fork was modified with the spacer block in to get freeplay

All fixed after a couple of in and outs tried a standard fork with spacer no freeplay at all with throw out hard against pressure plate.Second one temp bolt with no spacer much better it appears that pressure plate is a different depth to a normal one it appears the original fork was modified on the sides to get it closer to the gearbox to get it to work with spacer but no strong enough over a period of time
