Hi Lee,
I ended up getting the internal window rubbers through a shop in Cessnock who told me Rare Spares no longer do them. They sourced them through a company in Sout Australia but they came without any clips. Can you please let me know how the rubber seals attach to the top of the door.
Best regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
If you look inside the bottom of the window frame you will see there are slots for where the clips fit in. They are like little bulldog clips with a small metal tab on one side that is designed to fit into the slots.  Once in place you push the narrow edge of the inner window seal into them and that is what keeps them in place. They are a very tight fit.  I think that I have a couple of spares, I'll post a photo if I can find them. I'm pretty sure I got them off Ebay UK, possible AVO, who sell just about any sort of clip, screw etc for Escorts.
Cheers, Len

Thanks Len,
If you could post a picture that would be great. At least I’d be sure of what I’m looking for. I’ll check out a few Ebay sites in UK.
Best regards,
Paul

Hi Len,
I’ve just had a look on AVO Ebay store and they have “inner door seal clips” for Mk1 Escort. Do you know if these would work with my Mk2 RS2000.

Hi Paul,
I am pretty sure they would be the same but have attached pics of mine. Cheers, Len

Check and double check when you install them, they can scratch the windows if not in right.

Those look like the clips for the outside weatherstrip.

Not sure if this helps but I recently replaced the inside weatherstrip of an original 1980s doorcard. The inside weatherstrip was just stapled to the doorcard. The replacements were not the same style, I was expecting a weatherstrip similar to the outside but this was not the case. The replacement part was just a felt strip that I made work by gluing to the door card. It is holding so far in the Queensland weather but will wait and see...

That's true Nimrod, but Paul is using the flat door trims, not roll tops. He will have to install a weather seal strip to the inner window frame , same as the outside one, hence needing the clips.

Thanks Len,
They look like the ones I was looking at. AVO
list inner and outer seal clip.
Thanks again to everyone for their help. It is much appreciated.
