I've had some emails from Eric at Hoppers Stoppers in regards to boosted brakes for an escort with discs all round.
He recommended a Falcon tandem booster/ master cylinder set up. Or a VH40 just for the front brakes and VH44 for the rear.
So I'm curious, has anyone sucessfully installed a system like this? Any links to threads or pages that could help?
I did find this universal kit, but it's $2700 and recommends a proportioning valve for disc/disc

I knew Hoppers stoppers use an XA/XB master cylinder but didn't know it should also include the booster, I assumed that the master cylinder was just bolted onto the standard escort one. This is an interesting discussion as this might be my next step if I cant get my current setup to work a bit better.  Len

Im gonna be running a pedal box set up with the vh series boosters mentioned and possibly a electric vacuum pump if camshaft gives me a vacuum issues.

Mind you the boosters cost around 250+ each refurbished but thats my only option considering the turbo will be in the way. Ive learned hot rod builders used to use the Gemini 7inch booster which could be made to fit with some tinkering. The one inch bore master cylinder from xb falcon bolts straight on to gemini booster.

Either way you will need a appropriate proportion valve to suit the set up.

What about this?

I'm thinking of getting one of these (hydraulic clutch version here).

I ended up reconditioning the standard MK2 escort MC and booster and will get a turbo manifold custom made to clear it. And a proportioning valve for the rear discs.
The standard arrangement actually works well having it on the bracket at front of engine bay where the heat from turbo & dump pipe wont get to it.

It was suggested to me that a clutch booster from a patrol could be used.... and is cheap.
