The screw in the corner might have been added by the previous owner just to make it a bit more secure or to keep it nice and flat against the pillar where it meets the hood lining.

No, the screws were originally fitted by Ford.

Thanks for that Flighter, I bought a set of glass ones like Nukem, working out how to fit the mounting lugs on the inside like the original ones.  Nukem- what material / method did you use to cover yours- they look very good.
Cheers, Len

I gave them to TQ Motor Trimming Campbelltown he covered them with roof lining material to match the new interior.

Hi All,
I went and saw a local fibreglass guy about getting some moulds made up . I would need to charge about $100 a pair to make it worth my while and cover costs. I would like to gauge what sort of demand there might be to produce some copies of these, if it looks like only a few people want these then won't be worth the trouble or expense. I am looking at how to incorporate the mounting lugs in the back for those who want a standard mounting.
Also, as an aside , I don't know if reproducing someone else's work for sale contravenes any form of proprietary laws?  Even if the item came from Ireland, or if adding the lugs changes the situation?  Any thoughts would be appreciated. Len

I'm interested Len. Would you make them smooth or textured?

The ones I would use are a smooth gelcoat for the mold, don't know how easy it would be to introduce a textured finish. Len

Sorry, current indications are that it would cost me $300 plus a number of hours work to prep my originals to make just the molds, so at this time is not financially viable.  Maybe a cheaper option to get a set from McGee Motorsport and fit them. I have measured and cut out the plastic mounting studs and base out of my old plastic ones and will resin them in place to fit into the locating holes in the pillar. Len
