Many thanks for your offer GTV6, but Ron Informs me only 4 out of the "ELEVEN CK17ME's" were badged by Bib Stillwell, and mine is not one of them .
What I might be looking for is the 4 letters on boot lid that spells " F O R D " in case you or anyone else has spares for sale.
cheers
Bernie

Bernie,
Yes your car is meant to have the rear hockey strips and strip across the bootlid. The silver paintwork has been added by an owner.
My guess is that there was some damage that was repaired by removing the brightwork and filling the holes and rather than trying to match the wild plum paint, it was easier to just paint over the area in silver. Also moisture gets in around the ford letters and causes the rear edge of the boot to rust so there could be a rust repair there too.
If you can email me an address to send the stickers to and i will also send a copy of the original ford letter explaining it all.
Cheers...ron.

Thanks again Ron,
Safest address is 80 DERINYA DRIVE, FRANKSTON SOUTH, 3199
You haven't told me how $much$, but in case you refuse to take money as you prefer barter, I have ample stocks of air & fuel filters of at least 2 or 3 designs that equal oem (from memory A64?)and at least one design is Japanese. I also have ample filters and ignition parts for nearly 99% of ALL cars in Australia.
.........Is the rare Z38 (only got a few) still the only approved filter for the V6 ?
Other items I have for Capri, Escort and Cortina run into hundreds of NEW consumable items
Money for the decals is fine by me.
cheers

Thanks whooligan,
I'll look forward to your advice re your FORD boot letters.......the bonnet ones look the same ?????????
My FORD letters holes are still in my boot and the Mustang FORD Letters look correct, but if on arrival I find theyre not, they wont be going on. Theyre only $15 new so it's worth the punt. Else they'll sit in "Ford Trincket Display Cabinet".
Can anyone advise what time is "muster" at FED Square on 26.1.14 ?
cheers

Bernie, as stated under the Capri Projects link, I believe we are on display from 11:00am until 2:30pm. We need to assemble at the bottom end of Russell St, in the Fed Square entrance road to the carpark, not in it, around 10am. Looking forward to seeing another 'special' Capri! Terry

Thanks Terry....................hoping for "no rain", else we'll still come without the Capri, which we hope won't happen.
Knowing how all cars from the seventies and earlier, rusted very easily, I assume mine is very rust-free due to being stored "indoors" most of its life, away from the dreaded rust catalyst called "rain"!

Very nice of you Ron; many thanks!

Terry tells me space etc is very limited this Aust/Day at Fed Square and no room for my Capri, esp as I'm not a member, so I may take my Capri to Mornington Race Course as some clubs will be there on the day, or we may drive into Fed Square and just park wherever.

I see you're home in Brisbane, so guessing you won't be down in Melb ? We're driving up to Labrador late March for 2 weeks stay to enjoy "Dream World" as we do every few years. Love to see your Capri if you think you'll be in Labrador or Surfers.

I'd love to know why these 11 "specials" like mine are called "Delete Options Models" other than the fact Stripes and Black-outs were added well after cars were sold, and not on the "line" in Homebush. Do you or anyone know what else was "deleted" please ?

Kind regards...............Bernie

gtv6capri
All GT V6 capri came one way, you had to order them without the bling if it was too lairy for you.  Dealers often ordered them in this form as they were cheaper and they got their workshop people to add the blackouts etc as it upped their profit.
"Delete tag" was attached to the right corner of the grill when the car was on the production line (covered by the headlight surround).  It was a piece of thin aluminium written on to tell the production line staff what to leave off, this usually meant no blackout bonnet or grille, no stripes, and re-locate the GT badge to the quarter from the wheel arch.  My Teal Glow still had the Delete tag, half had torn off over the years but it was there.
