Hi Drew,
Starting to look the goods... front struts are pretty schmick. You running ac? Is that why your engine bay wiring comes in at the bottom of the firewall instead of the usual bloody great grommet at the top? Cheers, Len

G'day Len, yeah the cars got a/c, the wiring should still run through the top but I changed it to run down the chassis rail, pretty easy job, I only had to lengthen a couple of wires, the rest fit no worries. Welded in some holding tabs to keep to keep it all tidy while I was doing the body.....
Cheers Drew

Started on the interior last weekend, the dashtop, pedals dash, instrument stalks etc are in as too factory a/c has been, plumbed and wired. Had the roof lining done in mooncrater material today, very happy with the result... looking forward to doing the screens and the rest of the interior over the weekend.....
Cheers Drew

Looking good Drew, did you reserve the fun of installing the roof lining for yourself?? My first repro lining was a disaster- luckily I kept the original and got a local old-school trimmer to remake mine in marine vinyl- dove grey.

If you can find a good old school trimmer like that you gotta post his name and number, most trimmers today arent really much chop with cars this age. Might have to see if we can get a list of recomended trimmers as a sticky.

Yeah I got a trimmer in to do it, didn't really fancy busting out grandmas old singer and having a go at sewing myself. Trimmer was a mobile guy, he turns up in his truck and does it all on site... Duncans trimming (W.A.) 0421203390, highly recommended...
Cheers Drew..........

Lucky bugger, Drew. Townsville is too small to have something as innovative as mobile trimmers. if you have a late model jobbie they will come and glue it back in for you, that's about the level of talent available. Mine took me hour s to fit, only up side was it didn't cost me anything but I'm pretty sure I had a couple of beers after!!
