it would be nice to have a 'spare' Pinto lying around, especially when its also detailed to coffee table spec.
You've done well Drew.

Imagine in the future when the car goes on eventually to the next owner, "oh by the way, here's the original, unmolested matching numbers engine, just incase you want it" :)

P.S. I've copied some of your pics as a refernce to how stuff is meant to look, now that  i'm putting some bits of the van back together. It all helps, and your work is always top shelf!

Marty, the a/c pump is an unusual one in that its on the right side of the engine, normally they're on the left and the battery is moved to the boot. Not surprised that every one I've seen has been different though, the factory a/c kits were cobbled together from parts of a few different models of the time.

Deano, if you need any specific pics let me know. I've got the late parts catalogue on file aswell that shows exploded views and schematics that you won't find in the workshop manuals. If you want a copy, or anyone else for that matter I'm happy to put it on a thumb drive and post it.

Hi Drew, that would be a great offer.
I have 3 different manuals currently that i'm flipping across, but often then are virtually identical in what they omit.
What if I share a Google drive link and you can just drop a copy in.

Otherwise i'll use my current method, just chuck bits together that look about right  and end up with plenty of left overs... :)

The google link thing might be a bit above my pay grade Deano, its still pure voodoo to me that they even go on a memory stick. PM me if you're interested and I'll get one in the post.
