anyway, I was reticent to fit fibreglass but the result has made me re-think the whole thing. They are easy (when compared to fixing stuffed steel up) and the result - well hopefully u wont be able to pick they are glass without really looking (and no rust)

Who made the glass panels. They look like they fit well. I had a pair on mine and managed to get a nice fit but it took alot of trimming filing and then shimming until they were right .

A guy in Sydney - les - he sells thru small ford up there as well. I've only fitted them to this shell so far - I'm guessing it took me 2 days to get them (and new doors) right. Adjusting, guards, doors and bonnet 3 or4 times. (Mind u - I had t change one passengers steel door over to get a result with that - factory doors arnt all the same) The factory fit on capris was not great anyway but I wanted the door spacings etc tighter than that. No denying - U have to work for a result.
Mark dainty put a set he brought off me on one of his - hasn't bolted them down but they look on the money.
Wherever u buy them (if u do) - les supplies a separate gusset that u fix to the a pillar - you'll need it - u have to alter the position of the guard in relation to the gusset - till u catch the lines on the associated door - then u fix guard to gusset - u won't get a result without it. After alignment I tek screwed mine - then glassed guard and gusset together

I like Les here is a picture of the dash that he is making now. I have actually fitted it over the top of an old dash so everything is there to bolt it down. Will try and get him to make one for the instrument cluster as it looks easy to retrofit if he will make it.

Yes they hav a very nice finish - the later, coarser vinyl - and fit well with a bit of easing

Les used one of my Dashes /Crash Pad for the mould to make them. He did also take the instrument cluster or dash to make a mould of it which is from a matching set so if he makes them they would then match each other. He also took moulds of the kick panels and the rear door cards with the rounded edges which would be great when he sells them. I think your guards seem to fit seamlessly so now I'm interested. Although do you lose strength with the fibreglass guards? And if so how do you fix it also once yours are on are then easily removed if so how have you fixed them? Keith
