Paul,

What size are the pistons in the RX7 caliper?  I've been a googlin' but seen some conflicting info.  Hoping they are about 1.5" (38.1mm).

Also, based on that googling session, it appears that the Series 2 and 3 brakes are essentially the same (although cosmetically different) but for the disc size used, the Series 3 (FD) being larger.  Do you whether that is true, and hence whether Series 2 brakes could be used with your brackets?

Anybody know what RX7 calipers are selling for these days?

Thanks.

Hi. No they're 4 x 36mm bores. Yes the series 2 (FC) and series 3 (FD) are identical apart from the external cosmetic differences.

I found people wanting way too much ($300-400) for them here in Australia. As most you would want to do a full overhaul of them anyway..
I just bought mine from the US via ebay. Then got them Soda blasted, and repainted them myself.
Something like this (these seam a bit grubby though but obviously you'd just need to clean them up).

Then you'll need an overhaul kit.

Just keep an eye open online and at wreckers, there actually seems to be a couple cheaper ones on ebay at the moment locally.
But unless they are fully refurbished and overhauled i wouldnt really want to pay any more than $200..?
