Thanks for the comments, Have you made a decision on some stripping for the 1600 yet, personally I still think Silver GT Stripes would look fantastic on that Charcoal Metallic Paint. Are you coming down to the Capri Club of NSW Inc Show'n'Shine in November ?

Hey Bruce, Cam here (from the caravan park at Wagga).

She's even better than you described, glad to see you've finally got her out on the road.

"O" I thought you were a walking talking Capri encyclopedia, And to think your family once owned a 1971 Capri Paint Code "Q" Yellow Glow. Big 10/10 for effort for posting the photos of Club events and runs - Thankyou

Hi Ron, I'll get some more detail shots of each car in the future, but i dont like giving out people names with the car they own, thats why the plate are blanked out. When i leave a plate on the car it is either a show plate or my number plate( my plate doesnt worry me as the cars arn't kept at the registered address )
Hey Bruce, sorry for getting the colour wrong. my bad. O

Hey guys.
New to the forum but seeing those pics i had to compliment everyone that has a capri. My very first car that i bought when i was 16 was an original 1600GT but sold it after 12 months to a mate when i joined the navy and he promptly wrapped it around a tree. [V]
I am now in the process of building up a 1600xl but am undescided whether to put in a 2.0 Zetec or a 3.0 from a ford taurus.
Anyway keep up the good work and hopefully i will start to put up some pics of my rebuild as i get the time and money to continue with it.

Hi Bruce, I'm bringing the family down to see Mamma Mia the week before, so unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time.

As for the strips I'm still undecided. I bought some "side vent" which I'll reco and fit, then see how I feel about it then.

Welcome to the forum Craig, your project sounds interesting. Either of those engines would be fun I'm sure.

Start a thread and keep us informed.

Hi Owen, I didn't mean to be picky at all they are great pics and I enjoyed them muchly Its just an idea Ive had for a while. I dont know why we blank number plates out at all nobody but police can access the database and we have nothing to hide do we? Classic car mag has numbers on display as well as pics of owners and pommie forums seem to show owners with their cars but we are all secretive. Sad.

The members of Capri Car Club NSw has specifically requested photos of our members cars that are displayed on websites or magazines have plates blanked out or removed....... You have no idea just how many places have access to records on GOVERNMENT sites as well as police and we have been stung in the past, it is not a great feeling finding your car has been stolen..........
