Hi, looks like I'm the first to kick this off.

My Mate has a 105e anglia with a straight six in it. It currently has MKI cortina struts with disc brakes & steering box.
He wants to put MKII escort struts, crossmember & steering rack in.
Is it just a case of swapping it all over or is there more to it?

There's more to it unfortunately, the Escort has a different geometry than the Anglia and Mk1 Cortina[V] Nothing is impossible[%]

Its not a black Anglia is it[:p]

My Anglia has Escort rack, x/member and struts. With the struts its best to use the Anglia towers to bolt to the inner wing as Escort it completely different size. use 1600 struts as the spring width it narrower or use coil-overs 2.25/2.5in. The x/mem needs to be widened where it mount to the Anglia body and redrilled, use Escort lower arms too. The only drama is the swaybar gets in the way so it will need bending ( by suspension place)to match the Escort bar so it clears the forward steering arms, next use a Escort column. The track will be wider too.
Hope this helps

As far as I know if you use the escort xmember engine mounts as well the engine is moved back so you need to cut out the firewall or chassis mount the engine. Could be wrong though as i haven;t done this, its just what i've read

Consider the stuff available from Milton in the UK. I'm sure they produce a kit for the conversion. It's a very popular mod in the UK so there would probably be a fair amount of dicussion on some of the forums there. I've bought a kit to convert to disc brakes on the front, using Mk2 Cortina struts. I've also bought turret kit for the rear end. All very well engineered.

I'm being silly with mine and looking into the feasability of building my own double wishbone front and rear suspension subframes for my anglia. Not sure if there is space but its gonna be a fun design excercise!
