Alan Mann MK1 Escort for the Tamiya Mini

Hi all i built a retro racing escort. It went together easily and appears quite a strong shell though i havn't given it much stick yet.

That is awesome, what brand rc car is that body sitting on??

I've bought one of the Mk 2 Escort Shells (Non RS) and now need to consider what colour to paint it. Ideally it would be great to do a Rothmans, Yale or Eaton car but the detail required in painting that is probably well beyond my skill level. I'd also thought about doing the 'IYK 000' themed Mk 2 Aust Rally Championship car. Reality is I'd probably do just a road going car/colour - maybe basic white the same as my RS (Boring!!).
 
Any ideas welcome. Reality is it will probably be a shelf display and I'll use another shell when/if I race it - its been too long since I've even started the car alone take it to a race meeting (there is my 2013 New Years Resolution)

this is my escort, got it looking pretty similar to my car, even have 13" scale superlites at but am having trouble finding tyres
 

Guys a long shot here but are thses still available I would love one and what cars do they suit??
