You've got a big job there. Good luck with getting it all stitched up. A supercharger on the Zetec, I like your thinking

Do you have the colour code for your donor car? I'm just wondering what the colour of the lower half is. It looks like the top half of mine. And has the firewall in the donor car been chopped about? It doesn't look like a standard Anglia one.

Don't know what the paint code is sorry.
yeah the donor car used to have a 3.0L v6 from a capri.
Apparently it did awesome skids...

The guys before me found it in a paddock, got it going, thrashed it around with the v6 until they broke it, then sold it off as parts.

Nice pick up. All the best with it.

With regard to the weight, somewhere around 80-90kg depending on what is still attached to it. It'll be fine in your brother's Corolla.

It weighs about the same as a 1600 xflow, so light enough to carry home on your mountain bike.
Nice to see another Anglebox getting sorted...mine is fitted with mk2 Escort xmember, rack, swaybar and struts. My motor of choice is from a Fiesta '06 duratec 1600 screamer (current Formula Ford), all ally and weighs 50kg , good for 135bhp !!

scored the bargain of the century!
managed to snag a silvertop zetec from a wagon with a stuffed trans for NZD$250! the local wreckers said they could sell me one for over a grand!

my brother and i stripped all the junk off it the other night so tomorrows project is to make up some engine mounts so i can sit it in place and start working out how things will fit. for the moment i think the sump will get replaced with some plastic rubbish bags and alot of duct tape until i decide how to modify the current one.

have been sidetracked a little bit by dads mustang race-car and i'm only home from uni for 2 weeks, should be able to get something done though.

finished my plastic bag sump this afternoon and sat the engine down about where it will finish up.

not alot of room front to back but side to side there is more than i had anticipated which is good.

i was going to use the original anglia radiator but it is too thick and the hoses are in the wrong place, so i am thinking now that i will use a 1.8 pulsar radiator i have lying around from a car i wrecked a while ago.

Looking good with progress..
I sat my 1600 Fiesta Duratec in my Anglia with the factory thermo housing etc and had 10mm spare at the back, am going to 'notch' the bulkhead back 2inch when i get back into it...The Dat1600 i'm doing for a mate is taking time(rust repairs galore)!!

I'm thinking that i am going to re-route the rear water outlet down the inlet side of the engine rather than down the exhaust as it is usually done, it looks like it will fit the radiator i have better as it puts the inlet and outlet on opposite corners.
Means i don't have to run a rubber pipe from one side of the bay to the other, really don't have room to do that.
