Hi All,
 
Managed to find a Falcon XF alternator to replace the alternator on my Escort Mk2, the mounts on the replacment alternator do not line up with the mount attached to the engine block. Is there a trick to this or do i need XF mounts? Is there anything else i need to do to install correctly.

You'll need an "RS" alternator bracket and a bush kit from Yesterford
 

Thanks mate, ill try and grab one of the brackets.

I checked out yesterford and was told that the RS bracket would be the same as I have on my Pinto but does not line up properly.

Pretty sure my alternator is off a Falcon.  I'll take some pics and post them up tomorrow
 
You'll need some washers etc to space it properly to line up with the fan belt.
