hi all, i want to get some gaz rear shocks for my 1977 mk2 escort. i understand uping them to capri items is the go but i can only find gaz adjustable shocks that are for mk2 capri, are they the same as mk1 capri? any help greatly appreciated.

I have never heard of using Capri rear shocks in an Escort. Many people use Capri front struts though

i have capri struts up front, just want to know if mk1 and mk2 capri rear shocks are the same. to the best of my knowledge there were only cosmetic changes to the mk2 capri i.e. headlights.

Um - I'm no expert on Capris. but the Mk2 was a little more than a "cosmetic" change from the Mk1 Capri... It had a hatchback body shape and the diff housing was wider as well - so the shockers could be different too... Someone from the Capri Club should be able to answer your question on shocks though...
