Hi all,
Well it's been years since I've posted here but I'm finally on the way to completing my Capri. Lets just say life got in the way!

I have a couple of questions that I can't ask here in Ireland because they relate to Australian spec Capris only and I'm hoping someone can help me out!

Firstly the exterior sill panel moulding clips I purchased from Capri Clinic years ago - are these to be riveted or screwed on? I tried riveting one but it squeezed the clip out of shape. I'm assuming these clips are correct? Pics attached hopefully!

Next are the door mirrors. I have the Falcon XA/XB type mirrors and I need to know the correct position on the door as my doors have no mounting holes. Does anyone have the measurements of the holes in the door or just the position of the mirror itself?

Mine are pop riveted. You might just need a longer pop rivet or larger head. The other style use a knock in.

I found a longer rivet and it seems to work OK. I only had one rivet in that size so will need to find some more.
The problem with rivetting is that those clips don't sit flat against the sill so any extra pressure causes them to spread. I might try to put a stainless washer between the clip and the sill to reduce the gap a bit.
 
I have found some pictures of Capri's with the XA type mirrors so have a general idea where they go but I can't zoom in too much. If anyone could take a close pic of theirs it would be appreciated.

I found some old pics from Small Ford Sunday which showed the mirrors clearly enough for me to estimate the position. Mirrors now mounted!
