Selling my MK2, way too many projects and this is the most complete so first to go.

Bought it earlier this year, was told it was a one owner (before him), aren't they all though. Apparently 63000 original KMs, again unable to say if it's true or not but it is in very good condition for age.

Anyway,
1980 MK2 1.6L auto
Bunch of brand new parts in the last few months. Windscreen, tyres, brakes, visor, etc.
Also had a closed door respray around a month ago, still needs to be buffed and have the badges etc refitted but will all be done before sale. Other than the paint and a mid-90s cassette player, it's totally untouched.

Car is rust free from what I can tell, only bit I can't confirm is under the vinyl roof as I didn't want to remove it until finding where to get a new one.
Only bad points are a crack on the dashtop, rear door trims are worn from sun, and the vinyl top is starting to lift ontop of the rear window. Will get pictures.

Really don't want to sell it, but have way too many projects and can't stop spending money on this one. Have some parts that can be included for the right price, circle grill, lights, and if the auto is that much of a turnoff a complete standard manual conversion out of my mk1.

Will get better pictures ASAP.

Poor quality phone pics, will dig the actual camera out and take better photos over the weekend when it goes on eBay.

RWC has now been issued.

Car looks good.

Can I ask how much was the respray?  I am keen to get mine painted at some stage.

PM me if you'd prefer.

Good luck with the sale.

People seem to like doing that with my old Escorts haha.

Good luck to him asking 8 when there's still 4500ono written on the back window from when I had it. Probably should've taken new pictures mate :P

I love the testimony about how it starts every time and hasn't missed a beat.  Technically it may be true, but given the short period of ownership seems a bit misleading.

Maybe the 'drive it home today price'  is $8500.
But I thought once bidding started (under Bid/Buy Now rules) then the sale was only subject to the reserve being reached (which may well be the $8500).  Maybe it is simply a 'change of mind' situation ?

Quick, someone add a bid @.... $4001.... to get the auction process rolling.

Honestly, I'm thinking of making two fake accounts and bidding to 7800 or so just to get him excited.
