i am going to feel like the biggest dunce...i've got the workshop manual (which is for a MKI escort) and i need to change the front struts...is there any differences between the MKI and MKII escort fronts (it's a 2L if that makes a difference...)

i was attempting to follow the MKI manual but it wasn't very clear and i would much rather not screw it up....

Mk1 and Mk2 struts are different, but the front end design is essentially the same. There shouldn't be an issue with you using the Mk1 manual as a guide to remove your struts if that is what you are asking.
