It is still in England even though he moved out here 3 years ago.
He will be bringing the car out here in the next couple of years. I was around at his place tonight and he told me about these links, nothing to special but it sounds nice.
Bugger has been holding out on me.

I love it too, It was what inspired me to start my own bubble arched MK1 but mine wont be anywhere near as good as this. [8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2][8~2]

No they wont like it with the baulk head moved back and specially made.

It was made as a tarmac rally car for over there but new rules will soon be coming in over there as well basically making the car not eligible to enter anything for outright or class wins due to the Vauxhaul/Calibra engine. Thats is why he will be bringing it over here, then maybe??? an engine transplant so he can enter sports sedan class on the circuit.

Mark is a top guy that loves his Escorts. He has had a few of them including twin cams over there but now only owns the yellow beast and this one is coming down south to help stem the flow of ours going over there.

[:0] Pass the tissues please!

He may be able to get it rally rego'd although it still wouldn't fit in to any class, but damn you could have a lot of fun at Classic Adelaide etc. [:p]

Yeah he is having a really tough time thinking of what to do with it. He cant enter any rallies over here except dirt rallies as what they call an ORV (other road vehicle) which are not eligible for any outright positions or the only other motorsport events he can do would be sports sedan as either an over 2lt or throw a smaller engine/detune that engine and run under 2lt.

The problem with dirt rallies are he will stuff the car within minutes of starting due to gravel rash.

The other choice is to take the car to New Zealand and do their rallies over there that allow these sorts of mods. The problem is the car that he spent so much time building will still be overseas and he cant use it or play with it most of the time.
