Thanks for the offer mate, I'll have to pass, looking for a break from the Escorts this time. Been in the south west of W.A. Busselton, Nannup, Ballingup, Margaret river, for a couple of days following the forrest rally, stopped into a few small servo's and workshops putting the word out. I'm looking to get back into the garage but in the meantime I seem to be seeing a fair bit of the countryside... not such a bad thing...

I've never had much luck with Gumtree, but it's probably a good idea Drew.
 
My problem is that serious $$$ available are harder to justify ATM than many others are willing to pay, even for an absolute carcus. My dad had a 2 lt 80 model blue rally pack that I learnt to drive in, and I hoped one day to be able recreate one.
 
So if anyone has a MK2 2 lt bomb sitting in the bottom of the garden ripe for someone to learn welding/painting on i'm all ears....
