what's the STD comp Ratio on a pinto?
9.2:1

what's the STD Bore size for a pinto?
90.82mm

Will Cossy pistions fit?
Yes BUT they have a different pin retention system than STD pinto pistons so be careful.

Safest over bore in a pinto non 205?
Depends on the block. 1mm overbore is the most recommended in the workshop manual

Standard comp ratio, 8.2 auto, 9.2 manual
Standard bore 90.82 mm
Cossie pistons will fit a standard bore
'Safest' over bore is the next possible size, however up 93mm ok(ish), any more [B)] and you'll need to cross your fingers....

Not by much.

The other things with cossie pistons is that standard ones are designed for turbos and will drop your compression ratio down to about 8:1

I want to drop my comp anyway to cope with boost. Please explain the pin retention how it differs? I'm looking at the forged piston on eBay for my engine and I will need to get rods aswell.

Std pinto pins are press fit. Std cossie pins are floating with circlips.

Send a PM to Mk1Lotus. He supplied me with the majority of the bits in my Pinto bottom end (rods, pins, pistons) and he'll be able to sell you a setup that will work without messing around.
