Hey Guys, I'm a new member looking for a restoration project, had a Mk1 1970 back in the late 70's early 80's....
I also have spent my entire working life in the bearing industry BTW, it been a real long time since I changed out that fan bearing, I have a distant memory that , the bearing had a wire clip or circlip, that needed to be extracted first ,
my books tell me the ford number was 2720E8626A, the RHP No. ( the actual manufacturer) was ( or should be !) FPS396, Which I doubt very much you will find, there was a "soft shaft" universal version available, where the bearing inner race ( which is the shaft) is only hardened on the ball track, hence you can cut / trim the excess, much better to get a machinist to do,
if you cant find one, sing out and i'll see if i can round one up for you - but I'm in Perth
Cheers
