I need longer studs, does anyone know the specs?I've tried some from a VR commodore but like the mondeo studs the shank\spline is to small. My local auto shops can't help me.

You should be able to source them, my tyre retailer had a book with all different studs and lenghts. It was then just a case of looking up what we had and finding similar to the lenght required. Cannot remember what they were at least five years ago.

Yep, SMCKA is the man!

Interesting conversion, what parts are you using?

I bought a mondeo on the cheap, I pulled out the motor then thought why not use the front brakes. Stud pattern is the same, only had to grind a bit of the outside of the hub so the discs will fir over.Only needed to make a adaptor bracket for the calipers to work. Haven't tested it yet! :O

If you ever get stuck on a weekend and need some from a wreckers try the ones from the early focus. I used rear discs from one to setup my rear conversion and fitted them to my English axle to use the discs that came with it. Fitted into the standard stud locations no problem.

I tried to find Mondeo V6 front discs online, but could only find the smaller 4cyl ones. The V6 discs are slightly bigger. The discs I have now are slightly warped. Just found out yesterday that the rubber line that was with the mondeo caliper screws straight into the brake line on the escort strut. stoked!

Front and rear studs have different shank size and are not interchangeable.  the Commodore studs work on the rear only on Escorts.

Sometimes i use XB Falcon wheel studs/lugs , plenty long and chunky for little escort ! Will need to drill the hubs to 14mm tho. ..
As for big rotors. . Fiesta ST (XR4) 280mm ,or focus ST170 (300mm) , i have a 2nd hand set of ST170 front and rear(280mm) rotors if you are interested. .
