Had a few questions about engine mounts... these are version 2 as the first pair transferred way to much vibration... ended up further modifying the standard engine mount brackets and welding the ends in, drilling one hole through to take a standard hilux/hiace engine mount... the stud spacing on the other side of the engine mount is the same as the original gazelle mount so it bolted up to the modified cross member uprights I already had....

Its lots of fun and there are still some bugs to iron out !
 
Got some new tyres coming which should add a bit of grip, at least until I get rego and wind the boost up !

Got myself some new tyres all round, dropped to 195x45x16 which is a bit snugger on the rim, giving me a bit more arch clearance for the engineering and rego thats around the corner.
 

 
Rego has been delayed though in favour of attending Powercruise in the car ! Its something I have always wanted to do and this year the rules are such that you can enter without rego. Accepted paid up and ready to go have some fun.

Been testing/tuning the traction/launch controls today...
 

 
Need to drop it from 3500rpm, will take a bit more experimenting.... Awesome launch though when you side step the clutch, and when you do this it hits super hard in 2nd too, as evidenced on the tarmac.
 
Traction control works too, but did'nt get to find out its limits with the time I had today, did have it come on though when I flicked the switch and it does seem to work.
