Some of you may remember my car if you have been on here for a while....

Was originally supercharged pinto... then was NA quad throttle body...

Then I got jack of all that so bought this after spending a year competing in a silvia as part of the stadium drift championship.

Pulled this out

Stuck these

In this

The test fitted the engine

Was a pretty close fit to the standard cross member and gearbox mounts

So then resprayed the engine bay and filled all the holes prior to final fit up

Tomorrow is the last day before its off to the brake and clutch guy to make some lines and bleed the system, next weekend down to the dyno tuners where they finalise the wiring on the Adaptronic computer and sensors for;
Traction Control
Launch Control
Boost Control
Anti-Lag
Vapor Digital Dash

Been 2007 since it last moved under its own power at any kind of speed so pretty anxious to get it moving again !

I remember your car. Nice evolution now too
Here's a pic I've got from back in 2005 down in Canberra. This was when it was supercharged wasn't it?

That was it back then ! Yep was good fun but carby fed supercharged just didnt give me the snappy throttle response and reliability that I really wanted...

Got VT commodore brakes, and gaz gold adjustable shocks all round now, plus noltec tops and sway bars front and back so it should stop and go round corners pretty well....

Just got back from the shed fitting up the honeywell wheel speed sensors had Dad helping out tonight and he remarked that they were a good kit and wasnt it great that someone made them to fit the escort... they were really perfect for the application.

More pics tomorrow.

Wired & Dyno'ed 165rwkw... ran out of duty cycle so cant run any more than 12psi at this stage.

Want to get it rego'd and on the road first then will plan upgrades.

Have some bigger injectors but need to look at a bigger turb possibly, in conjuction with a bigger exhaust, front half is 3in back half is 2.5in.

6 hour drive to go pick it up tomorrow night so should have some more pics Saturday arv...

Back from the dyno fixed the alignment and took it for a drive ! WOW.

Still needs some more fettling, clutch cylinder master is the wrong size so hard to get into gear and left leg is now bigger than my right.

Bit of a leak from the heater core where we made screw on fittings to go through the bulk head and turn 90 degrees.

Video next weekend..

More pics although not a lot looks different..

Lights and grille ready to rock just got to find some time.

Speed sensor and vacuum canister for the inlet manifold butterfly system need to find a home in the d/s corner of the engine bay... blanking plug for the idle motor take off plus a filter for the catch can are also on the list.

Ecu mounted on the center panel, oil pressure and water temp digital gauges, plus a few switches hanging behind yet to be fitted into the dash including traction control and launch control switch ! Vapor digital dash all wired and working with the exception of the speedo, which just has to be run to the tail shaft.

Carpet/kick panels/Gear boot yet to fit...

Tuff car Ben. The wheels suit really well and I'm surprised how the beige has grown on me. I think our cars fit into a style category that is mentioned on page 57 of this month's Classic ford mag... "Cool, modified period theme" ha!
Have fun in it mate, I'm sure that won't be hard to do
