Hey all,  thought I would share my cars with you and start contributing to this form.  My first car was a ford escort, and since then I have owned 5 ford escorts (2x mk1 2 doors 2x mk2 2 doors and a pannel van).I will dig up all the photos soon.
I currently own a mk1 2 door and a mk2 pannel van.
The panel van is a stock 1.6l 4 speed all I have done is  a stereo and some 14 ince wheels......
I have a 2 litre and 5 speed sitting round that will go in it one day, maybe. I will lower it alot and do the suspension up when the minister for finance approves (the wife).

The Mk 1 I use mostly for hillclimbs and track days in South Australia and the occasional sunday run. It has been off the road for a while now.  I pulled the engine out  to chase a bit more power out of the pinto, and it is nearly done now (soon to go on the engine dyno).  But it ran low 37s @ collingrove hllclimb prior to the engine being removed.

Were you at All Ford Day a few years back with the van? If I remember correctly you'd just picked it up from Vic?
 
What sort of times does the Mk1 do around Mallala? The new motor should be fun.

Yeah I picked it up the PV from the guy that got it from vic, cheap. Not 100% on mallala, havent been out there in a long time in an escort, as I have been racing an evo 6 in imp production for the last few years (now sold the evo though).

Made 184 hp on the engine dyno, very happy, will put pics up soon

That's a sh*t hot power figure. Can you offer a price guide for parts and machining?
