Hey guys looking for advice on selecting a cam to suit my 2lt used for speedway racing.
Engine is 30th over wiesco pistons long chromoly rods 5.7" zero deck height 12:1 comp head is group1 big valves(long) flowing 197cfm @28" has 45 twin webers running avgas , previous cam was crane billet small base circle 525lift 272 @50 but is to worn to use for this new engine , I now there's probly not to many speedway guys on here but there is a lot of very knowledgable people on this forum. Been told about ivan tighe's roller setup any thoughts on this .

I would assume your are looking for an custom camshaft to suit your application.  I don't think Tighe would be the best.  Mechanically they're ok but they're just machinists with no true camshaft design and optimisation ability IMO.
 
I have personally got a cam off them by Ivan's son years ago that was **** because they ground it on 114 lobe centers.  On a Hemi 6 it makes them run like a slug, they need 108-106LSA's.  I have heard a similar story many a times.  If you know what you want then its not really a problem.
 
Possibly shoot an enquiry to Kelford Cams in NZ.  I know they are supposed to be quite cluey and specialise in custom cams from Honda 4's through to V8 Supercars.
 
Otherwise with our generally good dollar have a look at Crower in the USA.
 
Does speedway operate over a narrow rev range?

Hey Spigot i do no what you mean with your first statement and agree  and speedway does operate at a very narrow high rev range. Last engine never saw less than 6800 probley the reason we kept blowing stock bottom ends.
Found an esslinger dealer here and have placed an order so problem should be sorted real soon.

Generally narrow rev range means a tight LSA most off the shelf grinds run between 108-112, you might need something as tight as 102 deg which is custom.
