what setups are being used for twin carbies on a 2ltr? as for connecting the PCV hose to the manifold. could it just individually plumb them to each port as theres already two fittings for the brake booster, could i connect those 2 together?

just wondering if theres a way out of not using a oil catch can as every one i see is fully sick uleh chrome/polished and i want my engine bay to stay legit (not suss, for cops)

as soon as you put your twins on your engine bay will look 'suss' What year is your Escort? if it is late 1976 onwards you will need to keep the pollution gear on there, that includes the carbon canister.
That is the advanatge of twin downdraughts - the air cleaner can hide the twins depending on the type cleaner

only words from an 'old timer' who has been there before - you do have the nice red PICK ME plates

You cant run PCV with twins!

What ever you do do not just block off the PCV hose either. Run the hose to a catch can.

The 2 fittings on the manifold are 'bridged' together to run to the brake booster. this set up will stop you sucking the one way valve out of the booster which is common when using twins if you only use one of the manifold vacuum ports.
Trust me, it is my old set up you are talking about right?

ive looked at some diagrams through google, theres the inlet, im guessing that comes from the PCV? or do i scrap that and connect it straight to the hole in the crankcase?

and the catch can outlet, does that just go to the atmosphere? cuz i cant connect it to the intake.

my catch can is on the left hand side with 2 hoses going to it, 1 from the filler & the smaller hose running round to the PCV valve, the standard setup is retained on the block just with a new hose around to the catch can
