Wozzah
Hi All,

Doing a couple of Pinto engines for customers at the moment, thought I'd post a thread up on the builds. This one is for a tarmac rally car. The aim is to see 130rwkw, the most I have seen on the dyno I use in the past out of a Pinto is 128rwkw. At the moment it is a collection of parts. Some of the machining has been done on the block and head. Block machining and assembly is being done by Saliba engines in Melb, I'm doing the cylinder head and assembly at my work. This car will be running twin 48mm webers.

Valves, custom stainless with modified collet groove.

Argo Rods

SPS custom pistons

Starting on the head, throats machined to begin porting

Will keep this thread going as I do the engine,

Cheers
Woz

Nice Wozzah. It's always interesting to follow an engine build. Thanks for putting it up.

Nice one Wozzah Do you still use the 18mm spark plugs or do you step down to 14mm?

Keep an eye out for the one titled "pinto build 2", I'm aiming at 115rwkw for this one. This is the one for the road/club car I am doing, will post it up over the next few days, but to get that sort of power with all the hang ons you need (carbs, extractors etc) is pretty expensive. Will give an exact figure on both engines when they are fininshed.

This isn't the first Pinto I have done, but its been a while since I did one with this sort of power.

Have used both Phil, but haven't been able to get the adapters lately! You know who keeps them in stock?
