Torren, you don't work for Mark Solloway by any chance do you? (or maybe one of the Lepley's?). I'm not sure when Gartrac's work went down hill but the pedal box I bought 10 years ago from the them looked almost identical to a Gartrac pedal box from the 70s a friend has in his old Bond car.

Cheers

I don't work for Mark Solloway HRS i work for a company who has never advertised.so you guys probably wont know it which is best till i hand in my resignation. As the trade is so small and word gets around.
The gartrak pedal boxes have not changed in design just the quality of their finish and their welding.I'm sure the rally design box will work fine but there would always be a little doubt in the back of my mind. When purchasing anything I do not expect to have to "do a few mods" to get it working.
But what it ultimately boils down to is price.
As you probably know it is not a massive job to fit a 3 piece bulkhead strengthener and is highly recommended for competition use.

when comparing make sure you have apples and apples. I have just looked at the Gartrac Mk1 pedal box and nearly bought it until it was pointed out that you also have to buy their Grp4 throttle pedal which bumps the price up alot.

Would have been a great bit of kit to have on the car.

I have now just placed an order for the GRP4Fabrications box....hope I have not made a mistake!!!

Well the GRP4 Fabrication Mk1 hydraulic pedal box arrived a few weeks ago. I decided to give it a go and save a few pennies over the Gartrac unit but have the certainty of not getting Chinnese poo pooe.

It looks the business and appears to be well built. I have not mounted it yet so cannot say anything about how it operates.

Might have it for sale in the near future as I MIGHT change to a floor mounted pedal box....

Shea, I had the same prob with my one I bought off Smcka. I had to shorten the threaded shaft from the master cylinders and then screw them in as far as they could go into the balance bar. Took a while (4 fittings) but pedal height is very good will post you a pic. Just persevere I did.

I had the same issue with pedals sitting too high. I simply had a spacer made up for the mc's to avoid mucking around with the mc rods.
