I will post up a few pics tomorrow of the car as it was when i purchased it & as it sits now.
Dont know what people will think of the color i chose but i like it!

Doesnt matter what color it is, it will still look good because it is a MK2!

Ok,here are some pics....
The first few are of the car as i purchased it from the wrecking yard. Looked to be a fairly solid shell but it had a few hidden secrets once paint stripped....[:u]

Here are a few of the car just before & after it was painted

looks nice

The car was painted in the new color,then rubbed down again & flowcoated to give it a nicer finish.








The car was then towed back to my home to have the underfloor prep'd & painted

Im liking the colour choice. Its different and it will stand out. Any chance of it being at SFS?

Color is Bionic from the BF Falcon XR6.
Yeah,it is different & thats the very reason i picked it.
Im a bit tired of seeing Mk2 RS's all in white or red or orange!
I would love to have it at SFS this year but its still a fair way off being completed. If all goes well it should be on the road by the end of the year.

Anyway,got it back home,put it up on some truck axle stands & hopped underneath it to strip the floorpan of 30 odd years worth of dirt & oil & body deadener[:u] Its a job i swear i will never do again[}:)]

The floor was stripped to metal,then coated with a rubber based anti-chip coating & then had the body color applied over that.

This is the car as it sits now.
Black sections are being done on the nosecone as i type this,then blackouts will be done on the door frames and centre pillar by the end of the weekend.

I have a few tasty parts already put aside for the car,ready for re-assembly including quite a few trick looking carbon fibre parts

looks good great colour choice and i love the vented bonnet.
