Hey Chris,

I think i will bring my camera with me tomorrow and if the weather is kind enough I will take some photos for you. No offence but the image quality on your work camera isn't the best and doesn't do your car justice - it looks ten times better than that in the flesh.

Also have a centre console with the original radio.Gearstick boot is done in black leather with blue stitching too

For something different, got a rear spoiler in Carbon Fibre to fit as well.

Sorry about the poor picture quality. As Geetee said earlier on,need to get a better camera[:I]

Hey Mate,

Car looks awesome.

As a point you most likely already know of, With your CF rear spoiler, Depending on how you mounted it. Make sure it doesn't scratch or chip the paint off at the very ends of it where it touches (rests on) the body (rear quarters) when the boot is closed. You could use a thin piece of fora attached to the spoiler or some other method. However from the last pic it doesn't look like it touches so maybe nothing to worry about?

Hope that makes sense.

What is the Mex up to these days?

Cheers Michael

Hi Michael,
The spoiler is currently not fitted to the car.
That will be done after i color sand it & polish the paintwork.
I too have been thinking about what to do on areas where the spoiler will touch the paintwork. The solution i came up with is to use some 3M Clear Protection tape.I will run a strip of that across the bootlid before bolting the spoiler on,then add a length to the top of each quarter panel below the spoiler as well.Hopefully that will stop any nasty scratches

The Mex has been in the garage sleeping over winter
Once the RS is finished i might give the Mex a little tidy up too.Its been on the road now since 98 & its starting to show its age so a little birthday for it wont go astray.
Hows your car going?? You coming down for SFS next year??

Very interesting, 3M tape is a much better idea. My problem is just on the quarter panels where friction was created. However running the whole length of the boot is a good idea I think as a precaution.

My Mex is sleeping as well. I doubt I will make it to SFS next year as I fly back into town from the UK a couple days before hand. Same reason I missed that last couple. However after a little refresher the my Mex will be up and running like always. Also I got that air filter I asked you about a few years back and it works a treat.

I’ll keep watching this thread with interest
