Here's the dolly that i welded up yesterday. Works a treat.

I've started on the plenum chamber. It's gone from this

To this...

I still need to weld it from the inside and flatten out the external welds but so far, so good.

Top stuff, it looks great so far.

Check and see if the heater fits before you go too far.
Good luck with it.

It's excellent. I've got the dial set to .75mm and it works a treat. I did some test welds on a couple of the sections i've removed and the .40mm setting was a little low and didn't penetrate. I worked up to .75 and found that the best setting so far. It's much easier to set than the ESAB that i learned to weld with.

Yes, it may be a little expensive but it's well worth the money.

"My panels from Expressed have arrived."

Hello Steve,

How did you manage to buy from Expressed Panels?

I spent at least a month earlier this year attempting to buy two door skins from them. After several attempts by email with no reply I phoned them and spoke to Geoff. He said he would not trade with Australia because people here were paying by credit card, then on arrival of the goods claimed they were damaged and made a claim for full refund thru Visa.

Hi Peter.

It was a fairly simple affair. I rang them and placed the order over the phone using my credit card. I then sent a confirmation email to ensure the details of the order were correct as soon as i got off the phone. It was about a three week wait til the panels were in stock as one had to be made.

They got back to me with the airfreight cost once the order was complete as it is a fairly expensive postal item. Another couple of emails were exchanged and the panels arrived about 5 days later via courier. Once the panels were here, I sent them another email saying that all was good and thanking them for their help.

They were very helpful.

Nice. Where did you get that pedalbox from? Is that a OE throttle pedal? I read somewhere with that style of pedal box the OE throttle pedal touches the bias bar on full throttle.

The box is from Gartrac. I'll let you know how it goes once it has been fitted but i'm not expecting any difficulties with it.
