Hey Fordsy,

Looking a little different from when I saw it last. In a good way though. Good too see your doing some work to it and getting closer to the finished product. Just remember me when you need to off load certain "PARTS" we discussed!. Keep us informed with the progress.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! The spit works Steve. Now all you need to do is work out how to get it back into that garage of yours. [:x)] Did you need any help from the Minister for Finance?

Regards,
Craig.

I did need a hand. I needed some eyes to make sure I didn't tip the whole thing over. It rolls just fine. I just need to make the room in the garage to get it in.

Hence the cleanup. I also want to have just the bits off this car in the garage... not bits off several.

love the rotissery mate, the use of 2x engine stands is fantastic.!
I have made about 5x rotisseries now, Escorts, Anglias and now (or tomorrow) am making 1 for a Dat.1600 shell i'm restoring for a mate....and yes , i did get my garage blessed b4 the imposter car moved in so as not to spread rust and Datsun germs all over my Fords!
The 'spits' usually cost me around $160 in steel and 2x days cutting and welding.

I've been spending the last week or so stripping paint from the doors and replacement bonnet. I dunno what's worse. The smell of methyl chloride or the sore arms from using the grinder with wire wheel.

I did find some room in my budget and ordered a set of alloy forest arches from prepfab. Pics when they arrive.

I've also given the underneath a good going over with the Karcher and some degreaser. Looks much better, although the drive is now covered in crap. Next step is the CT18 then i'm on to the rust repairs.

Been working on the doors, boot lid and bonnet. I've stripped them of paint using stripper and a wire wheel on a grinder. The doors are now in etch primer with the bonnet being done tomorrow. The car will be sprayed in acrylic as 2 pak really isn't suitable for the home garage.

Dunno why this pic is the wrong orientation.

I've also got a new X member with mounts for the 2 litre.

The passengers side wing has been removed so I can attend to the A pillar.

Since i'm going to all this trouble, i've decided to replace the front panel and slam panel as both are dinted and have been repaired at some point.

Bonnet and bootlid are both in etch but i haven't taken pics of them. My spare rear 1/4 has been stripped so i can cut the repair section out for the drivers side C pillar.
