Looks like those rear guards could have done with a 10in wide rim though.

been meaning to ask you this for a while, why did you change tank style? you would think the drop tank would be better for weight distribution?

I think Steve said it was for ground clearance while rallying? I was wondering the same thing at the time Sterling.

Yeah. Ground clearance. Didn't want to tear a big hole in the tank and a bash plate for it would be pretty big. Hopefully I'll get to the point where I can do a few gravel rallies. I'll be starting off with a single side tank and looking at a Capri tank mounted in the boot later on.

Seeing as it's a windy day, I've rolled the shell out for a clean, dusting and a few pics.

Paint is getting closer

The rear firewall is tacked in along the top and bottom. Hopefully it'll be finished Friday then that's it for fabrication. Seeing the car in sunlight pointed out a few areas that need some attention prior to putting the filler coat on. There's a few bits i've missed stripping wise.

Well done Steve. I've enjoyed watching the transformation. What colour are you intending to paint it?

I do have a couple of colours in mind but haven't really made up my mind yet. Suggestions?
