Here's the dummy up of the 'new' rear firewall that was cut out of the original bonnet (which was in not too good shape). Still has to be trimmed, welded and plugged.

A+ for originality! Looks good too - the bracing makes it look factory!

Steve, are you going to fit turrets to the rear end? If so, you might want to think about doing that before you weld in your rear firewall. Depending on how you intend to set up the rear end you might find that turrets will intrude into the cabin.

No turrets in this version. I do have future plans for a full six linked rear end with turrets but that'll be in another shell at some point in the future. This one is going to retain the leaf springs and standard shockers.

Steve...do you even know what you are doing???? That's not where the bonnet goes mate. The front of the car, above the motor!

Hehe. I decided to get a piece of clear perspex for a bonnet so people could bathe in the magnificance that will be my engine bay. [:x)]

Either that or i'm too cheap to buy a section of 1mm steel and just used something I had lying around.

More work. Got some more primer and gave a few things a spray. Roof, interior, rear end, drivers side. Basically all the bits i'd missed so far.

Got some new shoes for the rims. Kumho KU31 195/50/15s

Also welded up the cuts I made in the gearbox mounts and made merry with the body filler. Once it's been sanded and painted I'll put up some pics.
